As to the Cattlemen’s assumption that there must be a population undercount because the Wolf body count went up so quickly during the hint. That is a bunch of Hooey. It is a well known fact that many wild hunters enrolled in the so called wolf tracking classes for the purpose of finding and targeting the specific locations of the packs. In addition it is widely believed that certain DNR staff persons colluded with those hunters to pinpoint the pack locations.

As far as the Mantra of 350, 350, 350…also a bunch of Hooey..no way in Hell is that a science based number. While Wildlife Biologists in Wisconsin were proposing a carrying capacity number of 850, certain extreme hunting interests in the Wisconsin State Legislature locked themselves in a room with the then DNR Director George Meyer, and later the number 350 magically appeared in the final Plan.
